Mitchell Technical College is seeking an adjunct General Education instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team for the Summer 2026 semester. The position is open until filled.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Masters degree in the subject area you will be teaching or a masters degree in an different discipine and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area you will be teaching
  • Current needs are in the area of Sociology and Psychology
  • Pass a state and federal criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

  • Teaching experience is preferred but indiviudals with a strong educational background will be considered
  • Communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have strong customer orientation. 
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail are a plus.

The Instructor will be responsible for:

  • Developing lesson plans, teaching assigned courses, and assessing student progress.
  • Assisting to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of the General Education department and MTC.

Annual Security Report/Campus Security Crime Statistics

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that the college’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which includes crime statistics be made available to prospective employees and prospective students upon request. Mitchell Tech’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery crimes that occurred on campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault prevention and response, timely warnings, emergency response, and other matters.
