Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Program Director to join Mitchell Technical College in developing the Physical Therapy Assistant program for Fall 2027.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience
- A minimum of five years of full-time, post-licensure experience that includes a minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience
- Experience in classroom, lab, or clinical teaching.
- Experience in administration, management, and leadership.
- Degree
- A minimum of a master’s degree.
- Credentials/Licensing
- Hold an active, unencumbered PT license or PTA license/certification and is in compliance with the practice act in the jurisdiction where the program is located.
- Earned a minimum of 60 contact hours of professional development or education in all of the following: educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation, and outcome assessment.
The Physical Therapy Assistant Program Director position will:
- Begin on February 1, 2025
- Teach theory, direct skills practice labs, simulations, and clinicals in a variety of settings within the Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Be responsible for program development, curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, and advising students for degree and career success.

Annual Security Report/Campus Security Crime Statistics
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that the college’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which includes crime statistics be made available to prospective employees and prospective students upon request. Mitchell Tech’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery crimes that occurred on campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault prevention and response, timely warnings, emergency response, and other matters.
